Project 03 - The Final cut

For the final three I have gone with a grey - transparent orange theme, I think it works qute well. It reminds me of futuristic designs, like grey lego space ships with see through orange windows that make it seem just that little bit cooler.

Model 01

This is my final printed model, I think it works quite well. The shape is defeniatly one suited for the 3D printer ont mad ein the workshop. Basic this is a Spiral incaging a Ball. While the spiral consists of only curves, the ball in side is a much more solid structure although round, it does use more structured geometric shapes and lines to form a simple but effective pattern. A pattern like that of bricks.

Model 02

This model once agian is based on the spiral, this time they interweave making a chaotic which does provide a sense of pattern, and is something definatily suitable for the printer.

Model 03

This model is taking the Spiral to the extreme, winding and winding to create another surface in itself. It seems to have an almost spinal feel about it, as it looks like it could a shape from the lower back  to the neck. This form creates a round surface which is definiatly not something that I would consider making by hand.
